- Description: The string of hearts is a trailing succulent native to South Africa. This plant has long, loose tendrils with circular, spade shaped leaves which gives it the appearance of small hearts growing along its vines. The plants foliage has a blotched pattern which can range from pink to light green, giving it a very unique camo-like look.
- Care: Partial sun to partial shade or bright, indirect light. Give this plant 3 to 6 hours of sunlight/indirect light per day but avoid the scorching sun. On the other hand, with too little light, the plant may stretch its leaves outward.
This plant is slightly drought-tolerant. Water once every 10-14 days or when the soil is almost dry. Reduce watering in the winter.
Well-Drained, Porous potting soil.
Optimal temperature: 60 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Avoid temperatures below 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
This plant should be fertilized once during the growing season (spring/summer)with diluted houseplant fertilizer.
