- Description: This evergreen perennial native to tropical West Africa and Nigeria, is a great addition to any office or household as a natural air purifier. Snake plants have strong and sturdy, sword shaped leaves which are drought tolerant and retains the plants water. This plant can be easily propagated by leaf cuttings so you can multiply your family of snake plants or give them away as a gift. This particular variety has a washed out greyish-green look on the entirety of the plant making this a very unique addition to any plant collection.
- Care: Sansevieria prefers bright to medium light, but it also tolerates lower light conditions. However, its growth is slower in shady spots. Avoid harsh direct sun to prevent scorching leaves.
This plant has a low watering need. Drain well after each watering. Water thoroughly and let the soil dry completely before the next watering.
Snake Plants are vulnerable to root rot, so they need well-drained, porous potting soil.
This plant grows best in normal room temperatures (between 65°F-85°F). This plant is not frost-tolerant and it does not grow well when the temperature drops below 50°F. Avoid high humidity.
