Love Minnesota rustic steel Christmas ornament, great gift / keepsake, for the Christmas tree or home decor!
Sized approximately 2.75" wide by 3.5" tall.
Each ornament is thoughtfully designed and created from scratch by husband and wife team, Brandon and Erin Spangler, in rural north Georgia.
Our ornaments our made out of 14 gauge hot-rolled mild steel covered with a thin layer of black oxide (magnetite) which is responsible for its dark gray/bluish tint. While this provides a level of protection against corrosion, a beautiful patina of rust can be brought out by a minimal amount of exposure to humidity. If the rust is unwelcome you may rub grade 3 coarse steel wool over the top to remove any and/or all rust.
Metals are inherently recyclable and can be used over and over again, minimizing their negative environmental impacts and saving energy. So please keep in mind that each piece may vary from the picture as our raw metal is created from recycled steel giving little variations (such as color) to each sheet.
After each piece is cut using our CNC Plasma table then hand ground to a finish giving a handmade quality to each metal creation. After we hand tie a burlap twine to the top completing the ornament
