      • Common Name(s): Bird's-Nest Nidus
      • Description: Native to the tropical regions of Asia and east Africa, Asplenium Nidus has large, light green, often crinkled leaves. This tropical plant prefers "rainforest" conditions in partial shade or indirect sunlight, and high humidity. With the proper environment and attentive care, leaves can grow up to 5 ft long.
      • Care: Bird's Nest Fern thrives in birght to moderate, indirect light and does not tolerate harsh direct sunlight or deep shade.

This plant needs moderate watering. Water only the soil and not directly into the leaves to avoid rotting. The soil should be moist but not waterlogged.

This plant prefers soils that can retain moisture but still drain well. You can mix your own soil with 2 parts peat and 1 part sand or perlite.

Bird's Nest Fern should be kept in temperatures between 60°F-80°F and a humidity level between 50-70%. Use a humidifier and mist your plant when the weather is dry, especially during winter.

This plant should be fertilized once per month during the growing season (spring/summer) with diluted houseplant fertilizer.

        Bird's Nest Fern is non-toxic.
